As author of the book "Great Adaptations: Screenwriting and Global Storytelling" (Routledge - 2nd Place Winner, 2019 International Writers Awards), Alexis is excited to apply the Heroine's Journey to a story loosely based on her own life as one of the first women at Yale, who struggles to become a filmmaker despite all odds.
